Vogue Out My Window

I've been working from home a lot. The commute is about 30 seconds from my bed to my desk [insert coffee HERE]. So I haven't gotten out much (besides from Biking to the Cup). And yet, this being San Francisco, I sometimes have nice views from my window.

Some local inspiration about why a bicycle is so significant in global change. Think local, act global.

Morning Commute

IMAG0750 This was my ride down Market Street in San Francisco this morning.  There were as many cyclists behind me as there were in front of me.  These are all commuters, the most technical clothing item, a windbreaker.  Shoes not clipped in, not toe clipped.  This is bike culture happening before our eyes.  Build the lanes, the bikes will come.

Bridal shower

I have been wanting to post this, but I have been so busy with work and all the planning. The day is fast approaching.
SURPRISE!!!!!!!!

Everyone were in the secret including my mom. She knew all about it 3months in advance--even when I was telling her that I felt like my bridesmaids are playing something. She will always tell me that she didn't know and that they will probably not tell her because she might tell me :)

What a fun day!

About this shower, I was beyond surprised, grateful, and felt so loved. I didn't see this coming even though I have been playing detective.

Anyway, to cut my sorry short, I had fun! THANKS again ladies xoxo

This summer is all about nautical accents. Whether you are actually going to be in Marthas Vineyard this weekend is besides the point. You can still look like you just stepped off a sailboat with these adorable pieces.

Seni Felic: Suspenders, Socks & Sausages

Meet Seni.
seni3

Not only does he ride his bike around town with an incredibly creative sense of style...

he is also the owner of SF Grill - a mobile sausage and burger stand that boasts some of the best local, free-range turkey burgers and turkey sausages in SF. You can catch him at the Divisadero Market on Sundays or the Upper Haight Market on Wednesday evenings.

Vive le Vélo + Film

On Bastille Day, July 14th the Hotel Rex will play host to the French-Language Disposable Film Festival.

For this particular soirée, the Disposable Film crew has put together their most intriguing French-Language short films for us to enjoy the Joie of Film at our very own Hotel Rex. The screening begins at 8:00pm but we’ll be serving French-inspired drink specials in our Library Bar starting at 6:00pm. Attendance is free.

More info about the event on the Joie de Vivre blog.

KT will be there avec le Rouge et Noir, probably wearing something like this:

Sol Stylin'

Sol is Stylin'!
On a not so sunny day, I met Sol coincidentally right in front of Cafe du Soleil, one of my favorite SF hangouts (AWESOME pain au chocolat and a nice selection of wines by the glass). It was right after the Holland v. Brazil game. Though not dolled up in World Cup spirit, Sol was chic'ed out from head-to-toe with an ultra-feminine look. Any cyclist wearing a crinoline under her dress gets extra points - going the extra mile to catch some air as she billows down the block. Very Vogue!

What more could it be...?

I promised these pictures awhile back...I have finally had a chance to get a copy of it thanks for photographer friend "Paosin". Took this pictures at a friend's legal age celebration boat cruise/dinner. It was fun day!

On the other hand, I had a wonderful, surprised bridal shower. I can't wait to post the pictures; so keep checking back before the end of the week. And it is couple days to the big day. A little bit nervous, but everything seem to be going great.

Anyway, hope everyone had a fab weekend. And Ooh! I got 'beat' by the rain, while my friend/coworker laughed ;(. Yeah, I forgot my umbrella in the car--lesson learned! As I am writing, it is still pouring outside, andIi dislike thunderstorm.
